Honeywell APS00B High Resolution Magnetic Angular Position Sensor IC
The Honeywell APS00B is a miniature surface mount Integrated Circuit designed for high-resolution magnetic angular position sensing. Utilizing Anisotropic Magnetoresistive (AMR) technology, it provides superior performance over Hall-effect sensors, offering precise measurements with excellent resolution and insensitivity to environmental factors like shock, vibration, and magnet-to-sensor gap variations. The APS00B generates analog sine and cosine outputs from dual Wheatstone bridges, enabling extended angular measurements up to 180 and facilitating applications such as rotary speed and angle detection, and non-contact precision location measurement systems. Its cost-effective and space-efficient SOIC-8 package makes it ideal for high-volume OEM designs.
