Product Overview

The SS361RT and SS461R are latching digital Hall-effect sensor ICs designed to operate with magnetic fields from permanent magnets or electromagnets, responding to alternating North and South poles. The SS361RT is activated by a North pole, while the SS461R is activated by a South pole. These sensors offer enhanced sensitivity (50 G typical at 25C) allowing for less expensive magnets or wider air gaps, along with a robust IC design featuring reverse polarity protection and a high operating temperature capability of 150C. Available in a subminiature SOT-23 surface-mount package (SS361RT) for automated placement and a flat TO-92-style package (SS461R) for compact PC board layouts, these sensors are suitable for various transportation and industrial applications.
