Product Description

The SS400 Series sensor ICs are small, versatile, digital Hall-effect devices operated by magnetic fields. They are designed to respond to alternating North and South poles or to a South pole only, with bipolar, latching, and unipolar magnetic options available. Band gap regulation ensures stable operation across a wide supply voltage range of 3.8 Vdc to 30 Vdc. These sensors offer a continuous 20 mA sinking output, with a maximum cycle capability of 50 mA. Their 3.8 V capability makes them suitable for low-voltage applications. The digital, open collector sinking-type output is easily interfaced with various electronic circuits. For reliability and consistent quality, the SS400 Series is tested at 25 C [75 F] and 125 C [257 F], and all catalog listings are qualified for operation up to 150 C [302 F]. Design flexibility is provided through various lead and packaging options, including straight leads (14.99 mm [0.59 in] and 18.7 mm [0.735 in]) and formed leads (14.99 mm [0.59 in]), available in bulk or ammopak tape-in-box packaging.
