Product Description
High Temperature VRS Magnetic Speed Sensors are designed for demanding industrial applications where sensors are exposed to temperatures up to 260 C [450 F]. These passive, self-powered devices utilize a permanent magnet to detect changes in magnetic flux caused by the approach and passing of a ferrous metal target. This flux change induces a voltage in a coil winding, generating an AC output signal whose frequency and amplitude vary with the speed of the monitored device. Sealed Front-End versions are available for protection against fluids, lubricants, and adverse environmental conditions. They offer direct conversion of actuator speed to output frequency, simple installation, and no moving parts, making them adaptable to a wide variety of configurations and speeds. Honeywell also offers VRS sensors for general purpose, high output, power output, high resolution, hazardous location, and low-cost OEM applications.
