Product Description
Power Output VRS sensors are passive, self-powered magnetic speed sensors designed for driving low resistance loads at large air gaps, suitable for applications with larger actuators. They operate by a permanent magnet establishing a magnetic field that is altered by the approach and passing of a ferrous metal target. This change in magnetic flux induces a current in a coil winding, generating an AC voltage output that varies in amplitude and frequency with the target's speed. The output signal is typically expressed in peak-to-peak voltage (Vp-p), with one waveform cycle per target passage. These sensors offer direct conversion of actuator speed to output frequency, simple installation, no moving parts, and are adaptable to various configurations and speed ranges. Customized VRS products are also available for unique speed sensing applications.
