GX21M15 (GX75B) Digital Temperature Sensor with Watchdog Function

The GX21M15 is a temperature-to-digital converter featuring an on-chip bandgap temperature sensor and - A/D converter technology with overheat detection output. It offers configurable settings for device operation, OS modes, polarity, and fault queues, all accessible via a 2-wire serial IC bus interface. The device includes a temperature register for digital temperature data, and setpoint registers for programmable overheat shutdown thresholds and hysteresis limits. The open-drain OS output can be activated when the temperature exceeds programmed limits. With three logic address pins, up to eight devices can be connected on the same bus without address conflicts. The GX21M15 can operate in normal mode for periodic temperature monitoring or shutdown mode for minimal power consumption. Its high temperature resolution of 0.125 makes it suitable for applications requiring precise measurement of thermal drift or thermal runaway. Upon power-up, the device defaults to normal operation with specific pre-defined temperature settings, allowing it to function as a standalone thermostat.
