GX18B20 Programmable Resolution 1-Wire Digital Thermometer
The GX18B20 is a digital thermometer providing 9-bit to 12-bit Celsius temperature measurements with a user-definable nonvolatile alarm function. It utilizes a 1-Wire interface, requiring only one data line for communication with a central microprocessor. Each chip possesses a unique 64-bit serial number, enabling multidrop capability for simplified distributed temperature-sensing applications. The device can be powered directly from the data line (parasite power mode), with a supply voltage range of 2.5V to 5.5V. It offers a measuring range of -55C to +125C (-67F to +257F) with an accuracy of 0.4C from -10C to +85C. The thermometer's resolution is user-selectable from 9 to 12 bits, with temperature conversion to a 12-bit digital word completed in a maximum of 750ms. The alarm function allows for user-definable nonvolatile trigger points, and an Alarm Search command can identify devices outside programmed limits. The GX18B20 is available in MSOP8, SOP8, and 3-Pin TO-92, TO92S, TO92A packages.
