PMT2 Series Particulate Transmitter
The PMT2 Series Particulate Transmitter is designed to measure particulate levels in emissions from dust collectors. Utilizing DC-coupled electrostatic induction sensing technology, it monitors the pA current generated as particulates pass near the probe. The transmitter provides a 4-20 mA signal that varies with particulate levels. It offers 6 sensitivity ranges for user selection and includes range and test switches for outputting 4 mA or 20 mA signals, aiding in setup and troubleshooting. An averaging time setting can suppress signal fluctuations if needed. Key features include a simple 2-wire installation for PLCs and control panels, a non-stick PTFE-coated probe to prevent erroneous readings from moisture, conductive dust, condensation, and dust buildup, and remote zero calibration to reduce maintenance time. Applications include emission monitoring, bag break detection in dust collectors, filter leak or wear detection, and bin vent monitoring.
