Product Overview
The AH1808 is a high-sensitivity, micropower Omnipolar Hall Effect switch IC designed for portable and battery-powered consumer equipment, home appliances, and industrial applications such as smart-meter magnetic-tamper detection. It offers reliable performance over a wide operating range due to its sensitive Hall effect plates and chopper-stabilized architecture. Optimized for low power consumption (24W at 3V), it operates from 2.5V to 5.5V and features a single open-drain output switchable by either North or South pole magnetic fields. The output switches low when magnetic flux density exceeds the operate point (Bop) and turns off when it drops below the release point (Brp).
