Product Overview
The AH1809 is a low sensitivity, micropower Omnipolar Hall Effect switch IC designed for battery-powered consumer products, home appliances, and industrial equipment like smart e-meters. It offers a reliable solution over its operating range due to its dual Hall Effect plates and chopper-stabilized architecture. Optimized for low power consumption, it operates from 2.5V to 5.5V and uses only 24W at 3V. The single open-drain output activates with either a North or South magnetic pole, switching low when magnetic flux density exceeds the operate point (Bop) and turning off when it drops below the release point (Brp). The output remains off in the absence of a magnetic field.
