AH374 Single Phase Hall Effect Latch
The AH374 is an integrated Hall-Effect latched sensor designed for electronic commutation of brush-less DC motor applications. It features an on-chip Hall voltage generator, a comparator for Hall voltage amplification, and a Schmitt trigger for noise rejection. The device has an open-drain output and a wide operating supply range due to an internal band-gap regulator. The output switches low when magnetic flux density exceeds the operate point (BOP) and remains low until the flux density reversal falls below the release point (BRP), at which point it switches off. The AH374 is suitable for applications such as brush-less DC motors, brush-less DC fans, revolution counting, and speed measurement.
