The AH1809 is a low sensitivity, micropower Omnipolar Hall Effect switch IC designed for battery-powered consumer products, home appliances, and industrial equipment like smart e-meters. It offers a reliable solution over its operating range due to its dual Hall Effect plates and chopper-stabilized architecture. Optimized for battery and low-power applications, it operates from 2.5V to 5.5V and consumes only 24W at 3V. The single open-drain output switches low when a magnetic field of sufficient strength (North or South pole) is detected, and turns off when the field strength drops below the release point. The output remains off in the absence of a magnetic field. It is available in SC59, SOT553, and SIP-3L packages.
