Product Overview
The CDP-07 Dew Sensor is a new generation condensation detection device featuring a positive characteristic switch-type element near the atmospheric dew point. It is insensitive to low humidity but highly sensitive to high humidity, offering good repeatability, low hysteresis, and rapid, precise response. The sensor is resistant to contamination, operates reliably on DC voltage, and is suitable for applications requiring precise condensation control, such as high-voltage cabinets, magnetic heads, home appliances, and smart protection products.

Application Circuit Suggestions
The sensor utilizes a DC voltage divider circuit for sampling, followed by a comparator and shaping circuit. For microcontroller A/D sampling, it is recommended to set a comparison hysteresis in software to prevent frequent equipment startups. The sensor sampling comparison resistor R1 should be >=47K (Type A) or >=68K (Type B).
Circuit Design Considerations: For long-term operation under DC voltage, the working voltage must be kept below 0.8VDC to prevent water molecule decomposition, which can damage the polymer material. To limit current when the sensor is in the ON state (condensation detected), the sampling comparison resistor R1 should be >=47K (or 68K). Adjusting the reference voltage (R2, R3) can fine-tune the activation point.
Application Precautions
- Avoid use in environments with salt spray, corrosive gases (strong acids/alkalis), organic solvents, sulfur dioxide, halogens, ammonia, glycol ethers, aldehydes, and dust.
- Recommended storage conditions: Temperature: 1040, Humidity: 20%RH --60%RH, dust-free.
- Do not touch the component surface with hard objects or fingers to prevent scratching or contaminating the sensitive film. Sweat can cause performance drift. Use finger cots when handling.
- Prohibited for use in flammable or explosive gas environments.
- Do not use this product in safety protection devices, emergency stop equipment, or any application where its failure could cause personal injury.
