The Cantherm thermal motor protector, also known as a temperature limiter or thermal cut-out, is designed for reliable over-temperature protection in motors, transformers, coils, and electronic components such as sensors. Its compact dimensions and tested resistance to shock and vibration make it suitable for demanding applications, including audio and video equipment tested to EN 60065 standards. Available in normally closed (NC) and normally open (NO) versions, these protectors offer robust performance with a high number of switching cycles under rated current and significant current handling capabilities under failure conditions.
