Product Overview
The APDS-9700 is a versatile signal conditioning IC designed to enhance the performance and robustness of optical sensors for proximity and object detection. This single-chip solution integrates an LED driver circuit, sunlight cancellation, and built-in LED stuck-high protection. It offers artificial light immunity and operational capability under sunlight. The APDS-9700 provides design flexibility by allowing pairing with integrated proximity sensors or discrete solutions. It supports power saving modes, making it ideal for portable and battery-operated devices. The device operates within a supply voltage range of 2.4 V to 3.6 V and offers both analog and digital outputs for application flexibility. It is available in an 8-pin QFN package measuring 2mm x 2mm.
