The AEDR-8000 Encoder series is a reflective optical encoder designed for motion sensing in various applications. It offers a direct replacement for the HEDR-8000 series, featuring a surface mount leadless package and single 5V supply with TTL compatible outputs. The encoder utilizes reflective technology for rotary and linear movement control, housing an LED light source and photo-detecting circuitry in a single package. It provides single-channel incremental and two-channel quadrature outputs for direction sensing, reducing design time. Its small size and surface mount package make it ideal for high-volume applications where space and weight are critical, such as printers, copiers, card readers, and consumer products.
