Product Overview
The HEDS-55xx/56xx and HEDM-55xx/56xx series are high-performance, low-cost, two and three-channel optical incremental encoders designed for easy assembly and high reliability. These encoders offer high resolution, with options up to 1024 Counts Per Revolution (CPR), and are suitable for a wide range of high-volume applications. They provide two square wave outputs in quadrature, with an optional third channel index output for precise indexing. The HEDS series utilizes metal codewheels, while the HEDM series features film codewheels. These encoders are ideal for motion detection in devices such as printers, plotters, tape drives, positioning tables, and automatic handlers. They operate on a single 5V supply and are TTL compatible.
