Product Overview

YGM Motor Protectors PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) Thermistors are designed as thermal protectors for electrical motors. They offer rapid response protection for electrical machines and are compact for easy assembly into windings. These PTC thermistors feature a non-linear resistance/temperature response, rapidly increasing to a very high value at a specified temperature. They are suitable for monitoring the windings of electric machines and for use in simple fail-safe circuitry. When the nominal response temperature is exceeded, the PTC sensor's extremely high ohmic value can switch off the circuit via a relay or amplifier, effectively acting as a circuit break.
