Product Overview

YGM Motor Protectors PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) Thermistors are designed as thermal protectors for electrical motors, offering rapid response protection for electrical machines. They feature a compact size for easy assembly into windings and are available with or without an insulated sleeve, equipped with flexible connecting leads. These PTC thermistors exhibit a non-linear resistance/temperature response, rapidly increasing to a very high value at a specified temperature, effectively acting as a fail-safe mechanism. They are particularly suited for monitoring the windings of electric machines and for use in simple fail-safe circuitry, switching off the circuit through a relay or amplifier when a given temperature is exceeded.
