The Broadcom AEDR-871x is the world's smallest 3-channel optical encoder utilizing Reflective Technology for motion control. Designed for miniature commercial and portable devices, it offers high resolution (318 LPI) with built-in interpolation, operating from 40C to 85C. Its compact size (3.95 mm x 3.4 mm x 0.9562 mm) and low 3.3V operating voltage make it ideal for space and power-constrained applications. The encoder provides two-channel (AB) quadrature digital outputs and a third index digital output, all TTL compatible for easy integration with signal processing circuitry.
