The Broadcom AEDR-871x encoder is the world's smallest 3-channel optical encoder utilizing Reflective Technology for motion control. Designed for operation between 40C and 85C, it offers high resolution (318 LPI) with built-in interpolation for versatile resolution settings. Its compact size (3.95 mm L 3.4 mm W 0.9562 mm H) and low 3.3V operating voltage make it ideal for miniature commercial and portable applications where space and power are critical. The encoder provides two-channel (AB) quadrature digital outputs and a third index digital output, with TTL compatibility for direct interfacing with signal processing circuitry, ensuring easy integration.
