The Bosch SMI230 is a combined triaxial accelerometer (ACC) and triaxial gyroscope (GYR) designed for non-safety related automotive applications, such as in-dash navigation systems within the passenger compartment. This 6 Degrees of Freedom (6DoF) sensor integrates advanced 16-bit gyroscope and accelerometer capabilities into a single, compact LGA package, offering reduced PCB space and simplified signal routing. It provides detection of acceleration and angular rate across the x, y, and z axes, with flexible operation modes allowing individual or synchronized use of both sensors.
