Functions

  • Self-Diagnosis: Emitter/Receiver monitoring, direct light monitoring, over current monitoring. Operation indicator displays diagnosis status.
  • Interference Protection: Master/Slave function to prevent sensing errors when multiple sensors are used in parallel.
  • External Diagnosis: Stops emitting when TEST input (black wire) is 0V, allowing external system to verify sensor operation.

Troubleshooting

Cause Troubleshooting
Not operating Check power supply, cable connections, and ensure operation within rated sensing distance. Clean sensor cover if dirty.
Control output is OFF even though there is no target object Ensure operation within rated sensing distance. Check for obstacles blocking the light path. Minimize exposure to strong electric waves or noise.
LED displays for break of light emitting element / failure of emitter Contact Autonics Corp.
LED displays for failure of receiver / synchronous line noise / emitter malfunction Check wiring, synchronous line connections, and load capacity. Contact Autonics Corp. for emitter malfunctions.

Proper Usage

  • Follow instructions in 'Proper Usage' to prevent accidents.
  • Use 12-24VDC power supply that is insulated, limited voltage/current, or Class 2, SELV.
  • Wait 1 second after supplying power before using the product. Supply power to the sensor first if using a separate power supply for the load.
  • For switching mode power supplies, ground F.G. terminal and connect a condenser between 0V and F.G. terminal to remove noise.
  • Remove surge using diodes or varistors when connecting inductive loads like DC relays.
  • Keep wires short and away from high voltage or power lines to prevent surge and inductive noise.
  • Suitable for indoor use (within rated environment conditions), altitude max. 2,000m, pollution degree 2, and installation category II.
