AS6221 Digital Temperature Sensor
The AS6221 is a high-accuracy digital temperature sensor system designed for applications requiring precise temperature measurements, such as skin temperature monitoring. It features a Si bandgap temperature sensor, an ADC, and a digital signal processor, all integrated into a compact IC that communicates via a 2-wire digital bus. The sensor offers ultra-low power consumption, making it ideal for battery-powered devices. Key benefits include factory calibration, integrated linearization, and the ability to use up to eight AS6221 devices on a single bus through selectable IC addresses. An alert functionality is also included to signal excessive temperatures. Production testing is calibrated to NIST standards, with verification equipment accredited by an ISO/IEC-17025 laboratory.
