Functions & Operation
- Operation Mode: Light ON fixed.
- Self-Diagnosis: Emitter/Receiver monitoring, direct light monitoring, over current monitoring. Operation indicator displays status.
- Interference Protection: Master/Slave function to prevent sensing errors when multiple sensors are used in parallel. Transmission direction should be opposite between 2 sets, and baffles should be installed.
- External Diagnosis: When TEST input (black) of emitter is 0V, emitting stops, and the red LED of the emitter flashes. This allows external systems to check sensor operation.
- Operation Indicator: Displays status for Power ON, MASTER operation, SLAVE operation, Test input, Break of emitter, Break of light emitting element, Break of receiver, Control output overcurrent, Synchronous line noise, Emitter failure (time out), Malfunction.

| Not operating sometimes | Remove dirt from the sensor cover. Check connector connections. |
| Control output is OFF even though there is no target object | Use within the rated sensing distance. Remove any obstacle blocking the light path. Move away from strong electric wave or noise generators. |
| LED displays for break of light emitting element | Break of light emitting element. |
| LED displays for failure of emitter | Break of light emitting circuit. |
| LED displays for failure of receiver | Break of light receiving element. |
| LED displays for synchronous line | Synchronous line incorrect connection or disconnection. Break of synchronous circuit of emitter or receiver. |
| LED displays for control output over current | Control output line is shorted. Overload. Check rated load capacity. |
| LED displays for emitter malfunction | Emitter malfunction. Treat after checking the emitter display LED. |
Proper Usage
- Follow instructions in 'Proper Usage'.
- Use 12-24VDC power supply that is insulated and limited voltage/current or Class 2, SELV.
- Use the product 1 second after supplying power. If using separate power supplies, power the sensor first.
- When using a switching mode power supply, ground F.G. terminal and connect a condenser between 0V and F.G. terminal to remove noise.
- When connecting a DC relay or other inductive load, remove surge using diodes or varistors.
- Wire as short as possible and keep away from high voltage lines or power lines to prevent surge and inductive noise.
- Suitable for: Indoors (within rated environment conditions), Altitude max. 2,000m, Pollution degree 2, Installation category II.
