The AS5270 is a high-resolution, dual-die magnetic angular position sensor designed for precise absolute angle measurement. It utilizes Hall sensor technology to measure the orthogonal component of magnetic flux density (Bz) over a full-turn rotation, compensating for external stray magnetic fields. The device offers a 14-bit sensor array and analog front-end for robust performance. It requires a simple two-pole magnet for angle measurement, which can be placed above or below the device. The AS5270 provides an instant indication of the magnet's angular position and operates at a 5V supply voltage with overvoltage and reverse polarity protection. Available in analog (AS5270A) and digital (AS5270B) output interfaces, the AS5270A features a stacked dual-chip design for high-reliability redundant operation.
