The AS5147U/AS5247U is a high-resolution, redundant rotary position sensor designed for precise absolute angle measurement over a full 360-degree range. It features integrated dynamic angle error compensation (DAEC) for minimal latency at high rotational speeds and a dynamic filter system (DFS) to reduce noise at lower speeds. The robust design offers immunity to homogeneous external magnetic stray fields. It supports a 4-wire SPI interface for reading 14-bit absolute angle data and programming non-volatile settings, as well as incremental pulse count output (ABI) with up to 16384 steps/4096 pulses per revolution. For Brushless DC (BLDC) motor control, it provides a standard UVW commutation interface with programmable pole pairs (1-7). An absolute angle position is also available as a PWM-encoded output. The device includes embedded self-diagnostics for safety-relevant applications, capable of fulfilling up to ASIL D. The AS5247U utilizes ams stacked die technology in a TQFP-32 package, while the AS5147U is available in a TSSOP14 package.
