Product Overview

The AS5145 is a 12-bit programmable magnetic rotary encoder designed for accurate angular measurement over a full 360-degree turn. This system-on-chip integrates Hall elements, analog front end, and digital signal processing. It requires only a simple two-pole magnet for operation, offering instant absolute angle indication with a resolution of 0.0879 (4096 positions per revolution). The digital data is available via serial bit stream (SSI) and PWM signal. It supports both 3.3V and 5V supply voltages, providing high reliability, durability, and user-programmable zero position. Its failure diagnostics capabilities monitor magnet placement and power supply loss. The AS5145 is ideal for motor applications with rational speeds up to 30,000 rpm and offers easy setup with Daisy Chain mode for multiple interconnected devices.
