Important Notes and Warnings
Water Environment: Water splashing or immersion can degrade performance or damage the sensor. Condensation or freezing on the sensor surface can also cause performance degradation or material damage.
High Concentration VOCs: Long-term exposure to high concentrations of VOC gases (e.g., butane, hydrocarbons, hydrogen), even when unpowered, can damage the sensor. High CO2 concentrations may slightly affect measurement accuracy.
Airflow: Avoid measuring in areas with excessive airflow or direct drafts, such as vents or fan outlets, as this can lead to inaccurate readings.
High Voltage & Polarity Reversal: Applying voltage exceeding 5.5V or reversing polarity will cause permanent damage.
Contamination: Exposure to alkaline/acidic liquids, halogenated substances, or corrosive gases (H2S, SO2, Cl2, HCl) can degrade performance and damage the sensor.
Volatile Silicone Compounds: Avoid exposure to silicone adhesives, hairspray, silicone rubber, putty, or other sources of volatile silicone compounds. Silicone contamination irreversibly inhibits sensor sensitivity.
Long-term Power-off: Extended periods without power can cause reversible resistance drift. Sensors powered off for extended durations require longer stabilization periods upon reactivation (refer to Table 4 in original document for duration guidelines).
Extreme Environments: Prolonged exposure to extreme conditions (high humidity, high temperature, high pollution) will severely and irreversibly affect sensor performance.
Vibration & Shock: Frequent, excessive vibration or strong impacts (e.g., drops) can cause internal connection failures or component loosening.
Soldering & Cleaning: Manual soldering at temperatures below 250 for less than 5 seconds is recommended. Use non-chlorine resin flux. Avoid liquid ingress during cleaning with alcohol or board cleaner. Ensure sensor vents are exposed to external airflow in instrumentation.
Wiring: Use high-quality shielded cables for signal lines to ensure communication distance and quality.
Continuous Measurement: For continuous measurement, sustained power supply is required. Intermittent power can lead to inaccurate readings.
Safety Warning: This product is not intended for use in safety protection devices, emergency stop equipment, or any application where its failure could result in personal injury, unless specifically authorized. Always refer to the product datasheet and manual before installation, handling, use, or maintenance. Failure to comply may result in death or serious injury. The manufacturer disclaims all liability for such incidents.
Quality Assurance: Guangzhou Aosong Electronics Co., Ltd. offers a 12-month warranty from the date of shipment for defects proven under specified technical conditions. The company is not responsible for products applied in non-recommended scenarios or used with non-company supporting products/circuits.
