The AGS0511 is a high-sensitivity, low-power, and fast-response R32 refrigerant sensor based on MEMS technology. It is designed for real-time monitoring of R32 gas concentration, offering strong anti-interference capabilities and excellent long-term stability with a long service life. Utilizing a high-performance semiconductor silicon-based resistive sensing chip and specialized digital module acquisition technology, this sensor ensures high reliability and stability. Its features include low power consumption, high sensitivity, low cost, and a simple drive circuit. The AGS0511 is fully calibrated and tested before leaving the factory, making it suitable for large-scale applications in home and automotive air conditioning, cold chain transportation, environmental monitoring, chemical processes, and refrigeration systems.

Important Notes

Water Exposure: Water splashing or immersion can degrade performance or damage the sensor. Condensation on the sensing material or freezing can also cause performance degradation or material damage.
High Concentration VOCs: Prolonged exposure to high concentrations of VOC gases (e.g., butane) can cause significant damage. High CO2 concentrations may slightly affect measurement accuracy.
Airflow: Avoid measuring in areas with excessive airflow or direct drafts (e.g., vents, fan outlets) as it can lead to inaccurate readings.
Voltage and Polarity: Exceeding 5.5V can cause permanent damage. Reverse polarity will also cause permanent damage.
Chemical Contamination: Exposure to alkaline/acidic sprays, halogenated substances, or corrosive gases (H2S, SO2, Cl2, HCl) can degrade performance or cause irreversible damage.
Silicon Compounds: Avoid exposure to volatile silicon compounds (e.g., from silicone adhesives, hairspray) as they can irreversibly cover and inhibit the sensor's sensitivity.
Long-term Power Off: Extended periods without power can cause reversible resistance drift. Re-stabilization requires longer power-on times (see Table 4 in original document).
Extreme Environments: Long-term exposure to extreme conditions (high humidity, high temperature, high pollution) can severely and irreversibly affect sensor performance.
Vibration & Shock: Frequent, excessive vibration or strong impacts (like drops) can cause internal wire detachment or component loosening.
Soldering & Cleaning: Manual soldering is recommended (flux: chlorine-free resin, temp: <250, time: <5s). Avoid liquid ingress during cleaning with alcohol or board cleaner. Ensure sensor vents in instruments have clear access to external airflow.
Cabling: Use high-quality shielded cables for signal transmission to ensure communication distance and quality.
Intermittent Power: Continuous power is required for accurate measurements; intermittent power will lead to inaccuracies.
