The AS7221 CCT Tuning Smart Lighting Manager is an advanced device designed to simplify tunable and environmentally responsive lighting systems. It enables lights to adapt to their surroundings and autonomously serve human-centered lighting and energy conservation needs. Equipped with a Cognitive Lighting Engine (CLE), it optimizes chromatic white tuning, daylight harvesting, and lumen maintenance using PWM and/or 0-10 V controls. The AS7221 offers direct connectivity to local I/O networks, allowing integration with standard occupancy sensors, dimmers, and communication bridges. Its integrated XYZ chromatic white sensing provides accurate color mapping and scales it to the CIE 1976 uv coordinate system. The device is designed for direct integration into tunable white luminaires, replacement lamps, light-engines, or LED drivers, offering a cost-effective and high-accuracy CCT tuning solution. The AS7221 supports standard 0-10 V dimmers and drives 0-10 V dimming ballasts/drivers, enabling cost-effective white tunable current-steering luminaire designs. It also interfaces with standard PWM-dimmable LED drivers and multi-channel ballasts. A UART interface is provided for configuration and control via a text-based Smart Lighting Command Set.
