Product Overview
The TMD2755 is a compact ALS + Proximity Sensor Module featuring proximity detection and digital ambient light sensing (ALS). Its ultra-narrow 1.1mm module integrates an IR VCSEL and a factory-calibrated VCSEL driver. The proximity function detects objects by sensing reflected IR energy, with interrupt-driven detect/release events and adjustable offset to mitigate unwanted reflections. Automatic ambient light subtraction enhances proximity results. Both ALS and IR photodiodes offer 16-bit data conversion for accurate ambient light measurement, enabling illuminance calculations for display backlight control.
