Product Overview

The Epoxy-Coated Noise Immune Thermistors (NTC Type NKI) from Amphenol Advanced Sensors offer integrated radio frequency (RF) decoupling for component-level protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI). Designed to address the increasing complexity and component density in modern vehicles, these thermistors provide a fast time response and serve as a drop-in upgrade for existing applications. By eliminating the need for shielded cables and allowing the use of existing housing designs, they reduce system costs. The NKI series has been EMC-tested to GMW3097 and ISO11452 standards and is available with a range of conformal coatings, including Epoxy, HTF1, and CR1.

Key applications include Electric Vehicles (EV), Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV), Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) for battery temperature sensing, as well as upgrades for existing automotive systems, drive systems, HVAC, and air intake/coolant monitoring.
