Product Overview
The TSL2521 is a highly sensitive ambient light sensor with selective flicker detection and fast sampling capabilities. It is designed for brightness control and as an auxiliary sensor for cameras. The device offers two concurrent ambient light sensing channels, programmable multiplexer, and integrates infrared and clear photodiodes with a UV/IR blocking filter for accurate ambient light measurement and irradiance calculation. It also features on-chip ambient light flicker detection, executed in parallel with ALS sensing, allowing for flicker frequency calculation on a host CPU. Its low-profile, small footprint OLGA package makes it suitable for space-constrained applications.
