Product Overview
The TMD3782x is a digital color light sensor device offering integrated color temperature measurement, ambient light sensing (ALS), and proximity detection with background light rejection. It excels in detecting light intensity across various conditions and through attenuating materials like dark glass. The proximity feature provides a large dynamic range for accurate distance detection, crucial for applications like mobile phones. Its internal state machine optimizes power consumption by entering low-power states between measurements. The color sensing capabilities are ideal for backlight control, solid-state lighting, and color temperature detection. An integrated IR blocking filter enhances its performance as an ambient light sensor, color temperature monitor, and general-purpose color sensor.
