The Piher PSCM Absolute Hall-Effect Multiturn Sensor offers up to 32 turns of absolute position feedback, retaining the last position upon power loss. With configurable electrical angles from 720 to 11,520 degrees, it provides a cost-effective alternative to absolute encoders and is ideal for replacing wire-actuated encoders by converting linear motion to angular position. Its true, contactless operation, without gears or mechanical interfaces, ensures limited wear and tear, contributing to a long product lifetime of up to 50 million cycles. The sensor is adaptable to specific requirements with programmable transfer functions, switch outputs, and various output protocols and redundancy levels. Its compact and rugged design, with high ingress protection, vibration, and temperature resistance, makes it suitable for extreme environments in industrial, off-highway, and transportation applications.
