The Piher PS2P-LIN is a linear touchless position sensor designed for precise measurement of linear position through the variation of magnetic field amplitude. It offers true contactless operation, eliminating wear and tear for unlimited mechanical life. Its low-profile, robust magnetic design adapts easily to various applications. The sensor provides absolute position information computed from vectorial flux density components (BX and BY) of a magnet. Available with selectable analog (ratiometric) or PWM outputs, and SPI upon request, it features a programmable measuring range up to 12mm. The PS2P-LIN is sealed for harsh environments, operates from -40C to +125C, and includes self-diagnostic features. Ideal for automotive, industrial, marine, off-highway, and transportation markets, it ensures high precision and stability throughout its operational life, even under extreme conditions.
