The Piher MSC-360 is a miniature Hall-effect rotary position sensor designed for space-constrained applications. It offers 360-degree absolute position feedback with an endless mechanical rotational angle and no dead band, retaining position on power loss. The sensor is fully customizable with programmable electrical angles (90 to 360 degrees), transfer functions, output protocols, and redundancy levels. Its true contactless operation ensures limited wear and tear. Key advantages include a lightweight and miniature size (28mm x 17mm, <7g), high performance with 12-bit resolution, extended life, and EMI & ESD protection, making it suitable for demanding environments. Applications span Industrial (instrumentation, robotics, hand controls, float level sensors), Home and Building Automation (HVAC, valve monitoring), and Transportation (EGR valves, gear position, autonomous steering, joysticks, hand throttles).
