The HRPM Hall-Effect Rotary Position Sensor, from Piher, offers a cost-effective, non-contacting solution for absolute position feedback in demanding environments. It provides 360-degree absolute position feedback with an endless mechanical rotational angle and no dead band, retaining position on power loss. Configurable electrical angles range from 50 to 360 degrees. Designed for harsh conditions, its rugged, fully sealed, and flanged-mounted package protects against dust, moisture, vibration, and extreme temperatures. The touchless concept, with separate housings for electronics and a magnet mounted on the actuated axis, ensures a virtually unlimited mechanical life and increased reliability due to the absence of wear and tear from radial forces. Applications span industrial automation, robotics, transportation, marine steering, and home/building automation.
