Product Overview
The Wilcoxon PC420A-DA series offers dual output, loop-powered acceleration sensors with dynamic vibration output. These sensors are designed for 24/7 monitoring of overall machine vibration, enabling continuous trending and alerting users to changing machine conditions to guide maintenance prioritization. With a choice of peak equivalent, true RMS, or true peak output, they integrate easily into existing process control systems like PLCs, DCS, or SCADA. The 4-20 mA output is proportional to acceleration vibration, and the dynamic signal output, derived from an internal buffered amplifier, requires loop power. Manufactured in an approved ISO 9001 facility, these sensors are suitable for industrial applications requiring in-depth vibration analysis.

Loop Resistance Calculation
| DC Supply Voltage | RL (max resistance) | RL (minimum wattage capability) |
|---|---|---|
| 12 VDC | 100 | 1/8 watt |
| 20 VDC | 500 | 1/4 watt |
| 24 VDC | 700 | 1/2 watt |
| 26 VDC | 800 | 1/2 watt |
| 30 VDC | 1,000 | 1/2 watt |
Note: Maximum loop resistance (RL) can be calculated by: RL = (DC supply voltage - 10 V) / 20 mA. Lower resistance is allowed, greater than 10 recommended. Minimum RL wattage determined by: (0.0004 x RL).
