Product Overview

The ChipCap 2-SIP by Telaire is an advanced, cost-effective humidity and temperature sensing solution integrated into a Single In-Line Package (SIP) with a pre-installed V-Core capacitor. This embedded system combines an in-house developed capacitive polymer sensor chip with a CMOS integrated circuit and EEPROM. Individually calibrated and tested, the ChipCap 2-SIP offers high accuracy (2%RH, 0.3C) and a 14-bit resolution, operating across a wide voltage range (2.3V to 5.5V) with low current consumption. It is designed for easy and convenient application, eliminating the need for reconditioning procedures common with surface mount RH sensors and allowing for field replacement. The sensor is reliable in harsh environments, ensuring excellent reliability and performance for a variety of applications including HVAC control, process instrumentation, medical devices, and automotive cabin climate control.
