The SGX series of PS1 and PS4 Electrochemical gas sensors utilize a revolutionary Solid Polymer Electrolyte technology based on catalytic reaction principles. These sensors generate a small current proportional to the target gas concentration, offering a stable, high-quality, and cost-effective manufacturing process. They are characterized by their very small size, high sensitivity, zero power consumption, and low cross-sensitivity to other gases. Important Notes & Handling Precautions

  • All performance is based on conditions at 20C, 50% RH and 1 atm, flow rate>150qcm/min, using SGX recommended circuitry.
  • Sensor performance is temperature dependent; contact SGX for performance outside 20C.
  • Do not solder to the connector pins as this may damage the sensor and invalidate the warranty. Use PCB sockets and firmly push-fit the sensor.
  • Exposure to high concentrations of solvent vapours should be avoided during storage, fitting, and operation.
  • When using sensors on printed circuit boards (PCBs), degreasing agents should be used prior to sensor fitting.
  • For life safety applications, it is recommended that all sensors and instruments are checked for response to gas before use.
