The VQ1 Combustible Gas Detector Elements are designed for the detection of combustible gases, particularly methane in air mixtures, with concentrations starting from 0.1%. These matched elements offer reliable performance with no interference from water vapour or carbon dioxide. When used with the recommended bridge circuit and mounting arrangement, they provide a minimum sensitivity of 20 mV/% methane. The elements are suitable for continuous operation under direct flow or diffusion conditions and are robust, having passed shock tests of 250 g and vibration tests of 20 g. They are supplied as a matched pair with a trimming resistor for optimal performance.
