The A1339 is a 360 Hall-effect angle sensor IC utilizing Circular Vertical Hall (CVH) technology to provide high-resolution contactless angular position information. Its system-on-chip (SoC) architecture integrates a CVH front end, digital signal processing, and motor commutation (UVW) or encoder (A, B, I) outputs. It features on-chip EEPROM for flexible calibration parameter programming (up to 100 read/write cycles). Ideal for automotive applications like electronic power steering (EPS), rotary PRNDLs, and throttle systems, the A1339 supports customer integration into safety-critical applications. Available in dual-die 24-pin eTSSOP and single-die 14-pin TSSOP packages, it offers contactless 0 to 360 angle, rotational speed, and direction measurement. The sensor is developed in accordance with ISO 26262:2011 requirements, with single-die versions meeting ASIL B and dual-die versions meeting ASIL D requirements when properly integrated. It boasts high diagnostic coverage with on-chip self-tests, signal path diagnostics, and watchdogs, along with 4-bit CRC on SPI. The device supports harsh automotive and industrial operating conditions, including direct connection to 12V batteries and operation from 40C to 150C with supply voltages from 4.0 to 16.5 V. It includes a low power mode for tracking motor position when the vehicle is off and offers multiple output formats (ABI/UVW, PWM, SPI) for ease of system integration. Stacked dual-die construction enhances die-to-die matching for redundant sensor systems.
