Communication Protocol

The module uses serial communication with the following parameters:

  • Data bits: 8 bits
  • Baud rate: 9600
  • Stop bit: 1 bit
  • Parity bit: None

Communication modes include Active Upload and Q&A. The default mode after power-on is Q&A. Commands are available to switch between modes. After power-off or switching to low power mode, the mode reverts to default.

Key Commands:

  • Command 1: Switch to active upload.
  • Command 2: Switch to passive upload.
  • Command 3: Get sensor type, maximum range, unit, and unit decimal places.
  • Command 5: Actively read gas concentration value.
  • Command 6: Read gas concentration value and temperature/humidity combined.
  • Command 7: Get current temperature and humidity.
  • Command 8: Get current temperature and humidity with calibration.
  • Command 9: Get current version number.
  • Sleep Mode Commands: Enter sleep mode, Exit sleep mode.
  • Running Light Commands: Turn on/off running lights, Query running light status.

Communication Protocol Details:

  • Checksum: Calculated by adding data from bits 1-7, inverting each bit, and adding 1.
  • Decimal Places: Bits [4]~[7] determine the number of decimal places.
  • Data Sign: Bits [0]~[3] indicate positive (0) or negative (1) inhibition.
  • Units: 0x02 (ppm and mg/m3), 0x04 (ppb and ug/m3).
  • Temperature Calculation: T = (float)((int)((0x0A<<8)|0x09))/100 (°C)
  • Humidity Calculation: Rh = (float)((uint)((0x0A<<8)|0x09))/100 (%RH)
