Product Overview
The A31315 3DMAG position sensor is a versatile device engineered for precise on-axis and off-axis rotary and linear stroke position measurement. It integrates vertical and planar Hall-effect elements with advanced temperature-compensating circuitry to detect magnetic field components. Configurable signal processing, linearization, and angle calculation enable accurate absolute position resolution for both full 360 and short-stroke rotary applications, as well as linear stroke measurements. The sensor offers ratiometric analog, PWM, or SENT (SAE J2716) interface options for outputting angle or field data. Integrated on-chip EEPROM supports flexible programming and customer device identification. The A31315 includes on-chip diagnostics for high reliability and is developed in accordance with ISO 26262 as a hardware safety element out of context (SEooC) with ASIL B (single die) and ASIL D (dual die) capability for safety-related automotive systems. It is available in SOIC-8 (single die) and TSSOP-14 (stacked dual die) packages for redundant applications.
