Product Overview
The A31315 3DMAG position sensor is a versatile device designed for precise on-axis and off-axis rotary and linear stroke position measurement. It integrates vertical and planar Hall-effect elements with advanced temperature-compensating circuitry to detect magnetic field components. Configurable signal processing, linearization, and angle calculation enable accurate absolute position resolution for both full 360 and short-stroke rotary applications, as well as linear stroke applications. The sensor offers flexible output options including ratiometric analog, PWM, or SENT (SAE J2716) interfaces. Integrated on-chip EEPROM allows for flexible programming of configuration and calibration parameters, with dedicated space for customer identification. The A31315 includes comprehensive on-chip diagnostic features for high reliability, making it suitable for safety-critical automotive applications. It is developed in accordance with ISO 26262 as a hardware safety element out of context (SEooC) with ASIL B (single die) and ASIL D (dual die) capability. Available in single die SOIC-8 and stacked dual die TSSOP-14 packages for redundant applications.
