The A1230 is a dual-channel, bipolar Hall-effect switch designed for speed and direction signal processing. It features two Hall-effect sensing elements precisely aligned for accurate mechanical location, eliminating manufacturing hurdles in fine-pitch detection. This highly sensitive, temperature-stable device is ideal for ring magnet-based speed and direction systems in harsh automotive and industrial environments. Its outputs are out of phase, providing quadrature signals for easy processing. The A1230 incorporates a patented chopper stabilization technique for offset cancellation and stable operation across specified temperature and voltage ranges, ensuring industry-leading digital output jitter performance critical for high-performance motor commutation.
