Product Overview
The APS12450 is a three-wire planar Hall-effect sensor IC designed for automotive safety-related systems, meeting ASIL B capability requirements. It features enhanced three-wire interface diagnostics for interconnect faults and a defined fault state for communication. Continuous background diagnostics are transparent to the host, reducing fault tolerant time. The sensor offers multiple product options for magnetic switchpoints, temperature coefficient, and output polarity, compatible with SmCo, NdFeB, or ferrite magnets. It is developed in accordance with ISO 26262:2011 and provides automotive-grade ruggedness with extended AEC-Q100 Grade 0 qualification, operating up to 175C junction temperature.
