Product Overview
The A1150, A1152, A1153, A1155, A1156, A1157, and A1158 are a family of two-wire, unipolar, Hall-effect switches manufactured using Allegro's advanced BiCMOS process with a high-frequency, 4-phase chopper-stabilization technique. This technology ensures magnetic stability across the operating temperature range and eliminates offsets. These devices are ideal for cost-sensitive automotive applications such as sensing seat track position, seat belt buckle presence, hood/trunk latching, and shift selector position. The two-wire configuration offers a cost advantage by requiring one less wire compared to traditional open-collector output switches. Integrated diagnostics are inherent due to the constant output current, which should fall within two narrow ranges; any deviation indicates a fault.
